Course Description
This course introduces students to the foundational aspects of Christianity, helping them develop an understanding of key Christian teachings, practices, and history. Students will begin by exploring the 5 Marks of Mission, a framework rooted in Anglican theology that highlights the priorities of Christian life and engagement with the world. They will then delve into Christian signs, symbols, and rituals, learning how worship and tradition shape Christian identity.
Following this, students will study the arrival of the gospel in Aotearoa New Zealand, tracing its historical impact and influence on society. The course concludes with an interactive question-and-answer unit, encouraging students to ask and explore deep questions about faith in a supportive environment. Through a mix of Bible study, discussions, and experiential learning, students will gain a well-rounded introduction to Christianity and its significance.
