Level 2 - English Literature

Course Description

This course is a pathway into Level 3 English, and should be taken by all students considering Level 3 English as an option. 

The course provides opportunities for students to study literature in a variety of forms, including film, poetry, prose and drama. Students will be supported to develop key skills in reading, writing, textual analysis, critical thinking and argument construction. They will also be encouraged to consider the relevance that literature has to our society, and the role it plays in helping us to understand our world.

Entry is at the discretion of the Head of Faculty. Students choosing this course are expected to have a minimum of Securely at the expected level grades for assessments in Year 11 English.
