Level 3 - Digital Technology
Course Description
In a year-long project, students will partner with stakeholders to develop a purpose-built digital media outcome of their choosing. To accomplish this, students will engage in a collaborative design and development cycle, which will involve a variety of tasks. During the project inquiry phase, students will explore multiple approaches to completing the task, including user experience methodologies, stakeholder interviews, and existing media investigation. The design phase will require students to create several conceptual designs, which they will refine collaboratively until they arrive at a final design. In parallel, the development and documentation phases will run simultaneously, requiring students to use industry-standard software to create the digital media outcome while documenting the testing and trialling process.
Course specific software: Visual Studio Code, Figma, and software connected to the student's project.
