Year 9 - Human Performance
Course Description
This course is for students who are striving to enhance their knowledge of human performance across a number of sporting contexts.
It aims to provide students with a well-rounded course including;
- Functional movement
- Training methods and principles
- Sport psychology
- Introductory physiology
- Sports nutrition
- Performance tracking
- Leadership
- Critical thinking
- Future careers in sport science
Students will work individually and collaboratively, applying the knowledge to their own sporting codes. There will be a mixture of theoretical and practical elements in order to best contextualise the learning opportunities.
This is a half-year course and takes up 1 option line.
