Year 8 - Art
Course Description
The Year 8 Visual Art course builds upon the artistic experiences from Year 7, providing students with a series of creative opportunities to expand their skills. Students will explore new areas of Visual Art, including advanced drawing techniques and an introduction to printmaking. Through hands-on projects, they will refine their technical abilities while developing a deeper understanding of artistic expression and cultural context.
Throughout the course, students will explore how artists use different media to record and communicate ideas. They will be encouraged to experiment with various artistic techniques to develop a personal style and will enhance their creativity and critical thinking skills through practical and reflective art-making processes.

Approximately $20 - art materials and an art folder.
