Level 2 - Hospitality
Course Description
This course of study is designed to naturally build on learning from the base knowledge from earlier years.
Hospitality is an alternative pathway which is both vocational and academic. The course will provide credits which can be used towards NCEA or industry certificates/standards. The program has a practical focus which provides authentic skills before the students enter the next stage of their career pathway or continuing into Level 3 study.
Students will gain knowledge, develop confidence, passion and management skills within the hospitality industry. These skills give students the ability to deal with customers and clients as well as plan and organise events. Barista training is an integral part of hospitality and this training would provide the students with entry level qualifications to support their future studies, careers, or provide an income while pursuing other passions.
