Level 3 - Hospitality
Course Description
This course of study is designed as an introduction to one of New Zealand’s biggest industries, which has a high demand for supply at all levels. Naturally, this course would build on established learning from Level 2.
In support of a student's potential pathway, hospitality is an alternative option into both vocational and academic training or careers. The course will provide credits which can be used towards NCEA or industry certificates/standards. The program has a practical focus which provides authentic, hands-on experience and develops skills. This is ideal for students ready to enter employment or further training.
Students will gain knowledge, develop confidence, passion and management skills within the hospitality industry. These skills give students the ability to deal with customers and clients as well as plan and organise events. Barista training is an integral part of hospitality and this training would provide the students with entry level qualifications to support their future studies, careers, or provide an income while pursuing other passions.
