Course Description
Embark on an exploration of the vibrant world of tourism with our specialized study program designed for Year 12 students. Dive deep into the intricacies of the global travel industry, from the history of tourism to destination management and marketing strategies. Gain a profound understanding of the economic, social, and environmental impacts of tourism while immersing yourself in diverse cultures and breathtaking destinations.
This course aims to equip students with an understanding of practical skills essential for a career in tourism. This includes travel planning, customer service, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Students will learn how to create seamless itineraries, deliver exceptional experiences, and effectively manage the needs and expectations of diverse travelers.
In 2025 there will be a field trip to Rotorua.
