Year 8 - Physical Education and Health (Core)
Course Description
This course offers students the opportunity to participate in a variety of physical contexts, demonstrating their skills. Students will further develop knowledge of underlying health concepts such as hauora/wellbeing, attitudes and values and socio-ecological perspective.
Students will develop an understanding of key societal issues such as mental health, sexuality/ healthy relationships, cyber safety and health promotion. Students will develop leadership skills, cooperative learning activities, and problem solving tasks and co-construction of aspects of the course.
