Year 7 - Art

The Year 7 Visual Art course introduces and strengthens foundational skills in drawing, painting, and sculpture. Students will explore their artistic expression through hands-on experiences in both two- and three-dimensional media. They will cultivate an appreciation for the creative process and discover the joy of personal artistic development. Throughout the course, students will explore how artists use different media to record and communicate ideas. They will be encouraged to experiment with various artistic techniques to develop a personal style and apply media and methods effectively within selected artistic contexts. Additionally, students will enhance their creativity and critical thinking skills through practical and reflective art-making processes.
